Welcome to our Library
Our Teacher-Librarian is Mrs Teresa Souter. She is in the Library five days a
week and is currently supported by Ms Naomi Ierace (teaching) and Mrs
Gillian Chan (administration). Mrs Souter is also assisted by twenty Library
Assistants from Year 6. Their duties include : shelving, scanning, tidying
shelves and tables, watering the plants, sharpening pencils, dusting, emptying
recycling, ringing the bell and helping out on special days.
Library hours
- The Teacher-Librarian is present five days per
week . The library is open from 8.30am - 3.30pm.
- **Please note that the Library is closed on Tuesday mornings for the
Staff Meeting and Wednesday afternoons for Staff Training and Development.

- School community involvement
- Parents and families are welcome to access the
collection before and after school. The library is used for a variety of
activities including Chess Club, evening Community Meetings, extra
curricula educational activities such as author visits during Book Week
and "Special Day" organisations eg. Aboriginal visits.

- The P & C Association is very supportive of
the library, providing funds that are spent by the librarian in
consultation with the staff and executive. Items purchased may include
books, DVD's, kits and computer equipment. Updating of resources
is essential for the total learning programmed of the school.
You too can help the Library by covering books with clear
plastic and contact. Mrs Souter places a notice in the school newsletter when
help is required.
